Our History

OnBehalf.org is the website of On Behalf of a Grateful Nation, Inc., and was founded in 2005 by four veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) with one goal – to offer a simple way for Americans to support veterans and their families when they need it most.  The four founders–Mike, Dave, Rick and Scott–were all Soldiers with the 94th Military Police Company (94 MP CO), United States Army Reserve (USAR), and served in Iraq as part of OIF from April 2003 to July 2004.  Click here to meet our team.

Our Mission

Our organization is dedicated to direct action. We raise funds for those wounded veterans and military families experiencing a financial crisis, but we also go further by offering a way to connect businesses and professionals from around the Northeast United States, looking to provide a personal service or fun activity, with wounded veterans and the families of the fallen.  Click here for some unique ways you can lend a hand.

Our Organization

On Behalf of a Grateful Nation, Inc., is a recognized 501(c)(3) organization under the Internal Revenue Code.  All donations are tax exempt retroactive to the date our organization achieved tax exempt status, March 7, 2006.  Please click here for our GuideStar information, to include our IRS Letter of Determination.
